  • Date lodged: Thursday, 15 December 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-07265

That the Parliament congratulates NHS Ayrshire and Arran nurse Lauren Speirs on winning what it considers the prestigious title of Queen’s Nurse; recognises that Lauren was selected earlier this year to take part in a nine-month development programme run by the Queen’s Nursing Institute Scotland (QNIS), and that the senior nurse was nominated for being instrumental in the implementation of Community Treatment and Care services in East Ayrshire and supporting newly qualified practitioners joining the service; considers this to be an outstanding achievement, and demonstrates the exceptional work Lauren has carried out in her career as a nurse; commends Lauren for what it sees as her dedication to the community, and wishes her all the best in her very bright future.
