Glencassels Community Development Project (SCIO) Funding from the National Lottery

That the Parliament congratulates the Glencassels Community Development Project (SCIO) on receiving a £150,000 grant from the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that the group will use the funding to develop a programme of community activities within its locally-run community facility; notes that the aim of the Glencassels Community Development Project is to revitalise the facility and the programme it offers, to make it a place of hospitality, opportunity, family support, and health and wellbeing; further notes that the project, known locally as The Venny, works with the community to reduce the effects of poverty and increase opportunities for all living in the local area; recognises what it sees as the role that the National Lottery plays in supporting good causes across the country, and wishes the Glencassels Community Development Project all the best for the future.
