That the Parliament applauds the efforts of all those who have supported Islamophobia Awareness Month over the last ten years; understands that the theme for Islamophobia Awareness Month for 2022 is Tackling Denial, with the focus being on the denial of Islamophobia; acknowledges the discrimination that Muslims may face in society, and the impact that misconceptions about Muslims and Islam may have on individuals and communities in all aspects of society; appreciates the support of police forces, local government, and charitable organisations, and further appreciates the work of stakeholders and all those working towards the elimination of Islamophobia in Scotland.
