Alloa-based SG Pro Cleaning Hosts Scottish Autism Charity Golf Day for the 10th Year.

  • Submitted by: Alexander Stewart, Mid Scotland and Fife, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 22 September 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-05970

That the Parliament welcomes the news that an Alloa company has teamed up with a good cause in Clackmannanshire for a charity golf tournament, which entered a landmark year this September 2022; understands that SG Pro Cleaning has hosted a charity golf day for Scottish Autism for 10 years, and that the event returned on 2 September 2022, hosted at the Duke's Course at St Andrews; further understands that legendary Scottish rugby player Scott Hastings made a special guest appearance, taking part with the SG Pro Cleaning team, which won first place, as well as addressing the 22 teams who took part and conducting the charity auction on the day; believes that the event in 2022 beat previous records, with £13,875 going to the charity, bringing the total over the years to more than £70,000; understands that these funds raised will help provide a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) room for pupils at New Struan School in Alloa, and commends SG Pro Cleaning and everyone involved for what it considers their hugely magnanimous work.
