Shetland Islands Citizens Advice Bureau Celebrates 30th Anniversary

That the Parliament congratulates everyone at Shetland Islands Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) on the charity's 30th anniversary, celebrated at their AGM on 18 August 2022; recognises the economic and social value of the bureau to the local community; notes that it provides advice on a great number of issues, including energy, debt, employment, housing, money advice, and benefits; understands that, over the last year alone, the bureau has advised 1627 local people and delivered over £1.5 million in client financial gains; considers that its delivery of free, confidential, impartial and independent advice is more vital than ever; expresses its gratitude to all of the staff and trained volunteers who have been active at Shetland CAB over the last 30 years, and wishes the bureau the very best in continuing its essential work for many years to come.
