  • Date lodged: Thursday, 20 October 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-05236.1

As an amendment to motion S6M-05236 in the name of Neil Bibby (Employment in the Low Carbon and Renewable Energy Economy), leave out from "which" to "in 2020" and insert "; considers that the dataset covers a limited selection of green jobs, with the survey only looking at occupations based on information collected from 17 low carbon sectors; understands that the Office for National Statistics is seeking to refine its understanding and measurement of the green economy; notes the belief that it is vital that work continues to capture the full number and scope of green jobs across the economy; further notes that the Q4 2021 PricewaterhouseCoopers green jobs barometer indicates that Scotland has the highest share of green job creation in the UK; welcomes the Scottish Government’s commitment to reaching net zero emissions by 2045 and transforming Scotland as a fairer, greener and more prosperous country;".
