The Stables Wins Regional Pub of the Year and Best Pub in East Dunbartonshire

That the Parliament recognises the outstanding efforts of the hardworking team at the Kirkintilloch-based pub and restaurant, The Stables, on winning the regional title of Pub of the Year at the Scottish Hospitality Awards, held at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel on 20 June 2022; congratulates the team on also winning the award of Best Pub in East Dunbartonshire at the UK-wide National Pub Awards 2022 in June 2022; appreciates the exemplary levels of dedication, skill and customer service that led members of the public to choose The Stables as their favourite hospitality venue; applauds the humility of the management team of Stuart Brand and Sophie Clarke in consistently valuing team members as the core reason for the venue's continued success; understands that Stuart first worked at The Stables 18 years ago and returned as its manager four years ago having gained valuable skills, experience and career progression within the wider collection of Vintage Inns; further understands that Sophie has been thriving in her current role for more than three years with a level of recognisable enthusiasm; delights that customers can enjoy a wide selection of food and drink indoors in the beautiful ambiance of a country pub or outdoors at rustic tables on the picturesque banks of the Forth and Clyde Canal; appreciates that dogs receive a particularly warm welcome in the bar area of The Stables; extends its thanks to all those who support this local business through their custom, encouragement and positive feedback, and wishes all at The Stables every success in the coming months and years as the business continues to grow from strength to strength.
