Airth Primary School Completes Highland Games Challenge for Mental Health Awareness

That the Parliament congratulates Airth Primary School on completing its Highland Games Challenge to raise awareness of the importance of physical activity; understands that pupils, staff and families all took part for the duration of the month of May, and local sport and activity groups provided workshops to further enhance pupils’ learning on the subject; notes that those involved walked, scooted, ran, cycled or danced for as many kilometres as they could, culminating in a Tartan Tour around the village of Airth to celebrate their achievements; considers the importance of encouraging young learners to engage with and understand the lifelong benefits that frequent physical activity has on health, mental, emotional and social wellbeing; congratulates all those who took part in the Airth Primary School Highland Games, and hopes that Airth Primary School continues to support learners’ positive experiences in physical activities and promote wellbeing.
