Congratulating Fife College Lecturer Lorraine Wilkinson on Outstanding Contribution to the Local Community Award

That the Parliament congratulates Fife College lecturer, Lorraine Wilkinson, on winning an Outstanding Contribution to the Local Community award at The Herald Higher Education Awards in Glasgow; understands that the national award recognises Lorraine’s outstanding efforts and contributions to the community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic; understands that Lorraine worked very hard volunteering with the Kirkcaldy Foodbank, based at Linton Lane Centre, while being chairperson of the centre's board; acknowledges that Lorraine personally made over 5,000 meals to those needing support throughout the period of lockdown by supporting Linton Lane Centre and the foodbank with a variety of meals and baked goods; expresses gratitude and applauds and commends Lorraine, and the staff and volunteers at Linton Lane Centre, for their hard work and dedication to those who are vulnerable in their local community, and extends its best wishes to Lorraine for continued success in the future.
