Unite Retired Members Recognised for Lifetime of Service to the Trade Union Movement

That the Parliament congratulates six members of Unite the Union’s Retired Members Branch in Dundee on being awarded their long-service badges; commends the lifetime of service that they have given to the trade union movement, ranging from 30 to 50 years; acknowledges their continued community activism in retirement, including campaigning for a municipal bus service for Dundee; recognises the camaraderie and support shared between retired members through the branch; welcomes their continued involvement in the trade union movement through the branch, and encourages all workers to join a trade union in order to enjoy the benefits and support that membership provides.
