Ken Bateson’s 100-mile Charity Cycle

  • Submitted by: Edward Mountain, Highlands and Islands, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 25 May 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-04555

That the Parliament commends Ken Bateson, from Thurso, for completing a 100-mile charity cycle, which raised funds for the Caithness Foodbank and the Trussell Trust; notes that Ken raised £500 for the Caithness Foodbank, and £381 for the Trussell Trust, thanks to donations and a "guess the time" competition, which received donations from local businesses, including a rare bottle of Dalwhinnie single malt whisky, and recognises what it sees as the important services that the Caithness Foodbank and the Trussell Trust provide to those in difficulty in the community.
