  • Date lodged: Thursday, 12 May 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-04229

That the Parliament congratulates Forres-based AES Solar for winning a Queen’s Award for enterprise; believes that this is the most prestigious business award in the country; notes that it has been awarded for the firm’s excellence in sustainable development; recognises that it is one of only 225 recipients across the UK; welcomes that the workforce has grown from 22 to 32 employees over the past year; notes what it considers is AES Solar’s work in helping to reduce carbon output through the installation of solar PV and their solar thermal products; further notes that this is more success for the company, after AES Luminary was named the Best Buy for solar water heating by Ethical Consumer; congratulates Managing Director, George Goudsmit, and the entire scheme for all their work to achieve this award, and wishes them all the best for the future as what it sees as a key local business and employer in Moray.
