That the Parliament wishes all Sikhs in Scotland and around the world a Happy Vaisakhi, the holiest day in the Sikh Calendar, marking the birth of the Khalsa; understands that, after a difficult few years due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, these celebrations and Nagar Kirtans that will be held across Scotland in Gurdwaras will be a momentous occasion for all Sikhs, and acknowledges that the Sikh community will be commemorating the birth, in 1699, of the Khalsa Siri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and will also be raising the Nishaan Sahib at Gurdwaras across Scotland and the rest of the UK.
