UK Government Funding for Stirling Albion Grassroots Football

That the Parliament welcomes news that Active Stirling, and its affiliated football club, Stirling Albion Football Club have received funding of £100,000 from the UK Government to improve grassroots football facilities; understands that the football club will use the funding to replace the current 3G pitch at Forthbank; further understands that this will enable the Stirling Albion FC junior academy and community teams continued access and allow for growth in women and girls football; understands that the club has further plans to grow more community projects including para football, veterans football and other community initiatives such as drug recovery programmes; further understands that Stirling Albion also plans to use this new 3G pitch as part of its successful Modern Apprenticeship Programme, and congratulates all recipients of this round of funding from the UK Government.
