Questions and answers

Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government, in light of the reported concerns raised about the closures and potential closures of community swimming and leisure facilities, and in the context of the reported financial pressures on local authorities, as well as the delivery of Barnett consequential funding as a result of the UK Government's allocation of £63 million to leisure centres with swimming pools in England, what immediate strategies it is exploring to ensure the sustainability of such facilities.
