Following the announcement on 19 October that Edinburgh Airport is to be sold, we will continue to build on our constructive working relationship with BAA at its three Scottish airports (Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow), while also seeking to develop and build relations with Edinburgh Airport’s new owner when the sale is concluded.

To ask the Scottish Executive what impact assessment it has carried out on the Town Centre Regeneration Fund.
Answer
Research into town centre regeneration will shortly be published on the Scottish Government website. Whilst the impetus for this research was the Town Centre Regeneration Fund (TCRF), the researchers have drawn on wider lessons for town centre regeneration and it is therefore not simply an evaluation of TCRF in itself.
This work will help us inform options on the best use of available resources to deliver continued support for towns as part of the wider Regeneration Strategy, which is currently being developed.
