To ask the Scottish Government how many (a) trawled nephrops, (b) creel-caught nephrops, (c) dredged scallops and (d) dived scallops caught in the Clyde sea area in each of the last 10 years were landed at creeks (i) in the Clyde sea area and (ii) elsewhere in Scotland, and what information it has on how many were landed outside Scotland.

As requested, please find data on (a) trawl-caught nephrops, (b) creel-caught nephrops, (c) dredge-caught scallops, and (d) hand-caught scallops that were caught in the Clyde zone over the last 10 years⁽¹⁾and were landed into ports on the Clyde and the rest of Scotland.

Data on landings made outside Scotland is also provided, but this will include catches from the non-Clyde portions of the Clyde zone⁽²⁾. Due to the way our fishery data is captured, it is only possible to determine that a vessel’s catch was made within the Clyde portions of the Clyde zone when it also lands into Scotland.

⁽¹⁾2013 landings are provisional.

⁽²⁾ The ‘Clyde zone’ includes the waters of five International Council for the Exploration of the Sea statistical rectangles. While two of these rectangles contain waters wholly within the Clyde, the other three also contain waters beyond its boundaries.
