To ask the Scottish Government whether it will provide an update on what action it is taking to promote Scottish food and drink at home and abroad.
Answer
The Scottish Government works with a range of public and private sector partners to promote and invest in the food and drink sector, and our success is reflected in the latest figures, which show, since 2007, an increase in food exports of 57% and drink exports of 40%. Retail sales of Scottish brands across these islands have also increased by 35% since 2007.
The food and drink growth sector has also reached record turnover of £14.3 billion, moving closer to the target of £16.5 billion the industry set for 2017.

To ask the Scottish Government what discussions it has had with the SFA regarding football clubs, including Queen’s Park Football Club, that are helping to support health, wellbeing and addiction advice services in communities.
Answer
We have had no contact with the SFA on this specific issue but we do have ongoing engagement with the Scottish Professional Football League Trust on their support of clubs with health and wellbeing initiatives for their local communities. This is exemplified by the Football Fans in Training Project which has won international recognition for its work with communities to tackle obesity. The Football Fans in Training is supported by £275k from the Scottish Government in 2015-16.
