Good morning and welcome to the 37th meeting in 2020 of the Economy, Energy and Fair Work Committee. We have received apologies from committee members Alison Harris and Andy Wightman. Graham Simpson is attending on Alison’s behalf.

I welcome Alex Rowley, who is a new member of the committee, and I take the opportunity to thank his predecessor, Rhoda Grant, for her contribution to the committee’s work. I do not know whether Alex has interests to declare—perhaps he has done that already.

I simply refer members to my entry in the register of members’ interests, convener.
