The Committee took evidence on the Bill at Stage 1 from—
Sarah Boyack, Member in charge of the Bill, Roz Thomson, Head of Non-Government Bills Unit, Sean Taheny, Assistant Clerk, Non-Government Bills Unit, and Caroline Mair, Solicitor, Legal Services, Scottish Parliament.
The Committee considered the evidence heard under item 2.
The Committee considered its work programme. The Committee agreed to write to the Scottish Government regarding the Job Start Payment, and to write to the Scottish Government and the National Association of Funeral Directors regarding the Funeral Expenses Payment. It also agreed to hold an evidence session on the impact of any changes the UK Government might make to the two-child limit policy, and to seek written evidence on what should be included within the scope of the next Fiscal Framework. Finally, the Committee agreed to forward the letter from the Scottish Government on progress made on meeting statutory fuel poverty targets to the Net Zero, Energy and Transport Committee to inform its consideration of the draft Climate Change Plan.
