1. Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take item 4 in private.

2. Natural Environment (Scotland) Bill:

The Committee took evidence on the Bill at Stage 1 from—

Mairi Gougeon, Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs, Land Reform and Islands, supported by Brittany Brown, Policy Lead, Jenny Gibbons, Team Leader, National Parks, Felicity Hollands, Deputy Bill Team Leader and Hazel Reilly, Solicitor, Scottish Government.

3. Galloway and Ayrshire national park proposal:

The Committee took evidence from—

4. Crofting and Scottish Land Court Bill(In Private):

The Committee considered its approach to the scrutiny of the Bill at Stage 1. It agreed a draft call for evidence, schedule for oral evidence sessions, to undertake a fact-finding visit and and to consider the evidence heard at each meeting, and all draft reports, in private at future meetings.
