Public Audit Committee

Social Care Briefing

Background

On the 27 January 2022, the Auditor General for Scotland and the Accounts Commission published the Social Care Briefing.

The report says:

"There are huge challenges facing the sustainability of social care, and the integration of health and social care more widely. There are good examples of improved service delivery, but despite efforts made by the Scottish Government, Integration Authorities, NHS, local government, and their partners in recent years, the pace of change has been slow."
