Background

On 20 May 2021, the Auditor General for Scotland published Scotland's colleges 2020

The Blog says:

"Scotland's colleges play a vital role in helping people learn new skills and fulfil their potential. Colleges also make significant contributions in supporting the country’s social and economic recovery from Covid-19 - but college audits for 2019-20 show that many continue to face significant financial challenges."

Decision: The Committee agreed to write to the Scottish Government on issues raised during the meeting.

Decision: At its meeting on 3 February 2022, the Committee considered correspondence from the Scottish Government and agreed to continue its scrutiny of the report.

Decision: At its meeting on 8 December 2022, the Committee agreed to close its scrutiny of the blog.
