1 Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take items 4 and 5 in private.


2 The role of local government and its cross-sectoral partners in financing and delivering a net-zero Scotland:

The Committee took evidence from—

Steve Gooding, Director, RAC Foundation;

Ewan Wallace, Chair, Society of Chief Officers of Transportation in Scotland (SCOTS);

Paul White, Director, Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT) Scotland.

Jackie Dunbar declared an interest as a Councillor for Aberdeen City Council.


3 Subordinate legislation:

The Committee considered the following negative instrument— Traffic Signs Amendment (Scotland) Regulations and General Directions 2022.

The Committee agreed to make no recommendations in relation to the instrument.


4 The role of local government and its cross-sectoral partners in financing and delivering a net-zero Scotland (in private):

The Committee considered the evidence it heard earlier under agenda item 2.

The Committee agreed to write to the Scottish Retail Consortium and the Scottish Futures Trust to request written evidence.


5 Ferry services (in private):

The Committee considered its approach to the inquiry and agreed to further consider the scope of the inquiry at a future meeting.
