The Committee agreed to take items 6 and 7 in private.

The Committee took evidence on The Equality Act 2010 (Specific Duties) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2021 and The Equality Act 2010 (Specification of Public Authorities) (Scotland) Order 2021 from—

Ivan McKee, Minister for Business, Trade, Tourism and Enterprise, Scottish Government.

Ivan McKee (Minister for Business, Trade, Tourism and Enterprise) moved—S6M-01530—That the Equalities, Human Rights and Civil Justice Committee recommends that The Equality Act 2010 (Specific Duties) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2021 be approved.

Dr Christine A Ryan, Senior Legal Advisor, United Nations Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion or Belief;

Dr Adam Jowett, Coventry University, Lead author of UK Government commissioned research into conversion therapy.
