The Committee heard evidence from—
Jim Whannel, Director of Education, Iain MacMillan, Director of Development (interim) and Mairi MacInnes, Chair, Bòrd na Gàidhlig .
2 Scottish Attainment Challenge Inquiry (In Private):
The Committee continued consideration of a draft report. One change was proposed and decided upon (by division) and the Committee agreed its report.
3 Work programme (In Private):
The Committee considered and agreed its work programme.
4 Evidence Session (In Private):
The Committee considered the evidence it heard under agenda item 1.
The Committee agreed to consider issues raised during the session as part of a future work programme discussion.
The Committee also agreed that the Convener would raise the provision of Gaelic interpreters with the Conveners Group and that the Convener would seek a meeting with the Presiding Officer to discuss this issue.
