1 Decision on taking business in private:
The Committee agreed to take items 3, 4 and 5 in private.
2 Just Transition for the Grangemouth area:
The Committee took evidence from—
Hisashi Kuboyama, Development Manager for the West, Federation of Small Businesses;
Liz McAreavey, Chief Executive of Edinburgh Chambers of Commerce, Scottish Chambers of Commerce Network;
Michelle Primrose, Group HR Manager and Stuart Wallace, Chief Operating Officer, Forth Ports .
3 Just Transition for the Grangemouth area (In Private):
The Committee considered the evidence heard earlier and agreed a proposed visit to the INEOS site in Grangemouth.
4 Town centres and retail (In Private):
The Committee noted that the Scottish Government response to the Committee’s inquiry report had been received this week but there had been insufficient time to consider it. The Committee discussed arrangements for the debate on its report.
5 Correspondence (In Private):
The Committee considered a draft letter on Scotland's economic outlook and agreed to delegate to the Convener responsibility for final sign-off.
