1 Decision on taking business in private:
The Committee agreed to take 3, 4,5 and 6 in private and that the next meeting would be wholly in private to consider a draft report, an issues paper following the supply chains inquiry and a work programme paper.
2 Scottish Tourism and Hospitality Sectors:
The Committee took evidence from—
Marc Crothall, Chief Executive Officer, Scottish Tourism Alliance;
Stephen Montgomery, Spokeperson, Scottish Hospitality Group;
Leon Thompson, Executive Director, UKHospitality Scotland;
and then from—
Rob Dickson, Director of Industry and Destination Development and Vicki Miller,Director of Marketing & Digital, Visit Scotland .
3 Scottish Tourism and Hospitality Sectors:
The Committee agreed to write to the Scottish Government in advance of next week’s proceedings on the Budget Bill and to seek further information from the witnesses on the source of statistics referred to.
4 Professional Qualifications Bill (UK Parliament legislation) (in private:
The Committee considered the supplementary legislative consent memorandum lodged by Kate Forbes (LCM(S6)3a) and agreed to consider a draft report in private at its next meeting.
5 Subsidy Control Bill (UK Parliament legislation) (in private):
The Committee considered a draft report and various changes were agreed to. The revised report will be circulated to members before publication.
6 Work programme:
The Committee considered arrangements for its next inquiry.
