1 Decision on taking business in private:

The Committee agreed to take item 5 in private. The Committee also agreed to take its work programme and selection of advisers at future meetings in private.


2 Vaccination certification:

The Committee took evidence from—

Dr Catriona McMillan, Convener of the Health and Medical Law Sub-Committee, Law Society of Scotland;

Gavin Stevenson, Scottish Licensed Trade Association;

Neil Doncaster, Chief Executive, Scottish Professional Football League, Member of Scottish Football’s COVID-19 Joint Response Group.


3 Ministerial statement on COVID-19; Coronavirus (Extension and Expiry) (Scotland) Act 2021 Reports to the Scottish Parliament; Subordinate legislation:

The Committee took evidence on the Ministerial statement on COVID-19; Coronavirus (Extension and Expiry) (Scotland) Act 2021 Reports to the Scottish Parliament; and the following instrument—
The Health Protection (Coronavirus) (Requirements) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2021 (SSI 2021/299)  from—

John Swinney, Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for COVID Recovery, Elizabeth Blair,Team leader, Covid Co-ordination Governance and Decision Making and Professor Jason Leitch,National Clinical Director, Scottish Government.


4 Subordinate legislation:

John Swinney, Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for COVID Recovery moved— 
S6M-01048—That the COVID-19 Recovery Committee recommends that the Health Protection (Coronavirus) (Requirements) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2021 (SSI 2021/299) be approved.

The motion was agreed to.
