Freedom of Information (Scotland) Bill

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Bill was introduced on 27 September 2001 [Session 1]

This was a Government Bill. Government Bills before September 2012 were known as Executive Bills.


Bill becomes an Act

The Bill was passed on 24 April 2002 and became an Act on 28 May 2002

If the Bill is passed by MSPs, it can then get Royal Assent and become an Act.
