That the Parliament congratulates the students from New College Lanarkshire’s DFN Project SEARCH programme for their outstanding achievements and positive destinations at University Hospital Wishaw; recognises the success of the partnership between New College Lanarkshire, NHS Lanarkshire, North Lanarkshire Council and DFN Project SEARCH in supporting young people with additional support needs into meaningful employment; understands that the programme provides supported internships, work-based learning and employability training designed to build confidence, independence and skills for the workplace; notes that the initiative has contributed to strong employment outcomes for graduates, with many progressing into paid employment following completion, and commends the students as well as the staff and employers involved for their commitment to inclusion, skills development and improving life chances for young people in Lanarkshire and across Scotland.
