That the Parliament recognises the life and work of Brian Quail, a prominent peace activist who died on 17 February 2026; notes his lifelong commitment to non-violence, social justice and international solidarity; acknowledges his decades of campaigning against nuclear weapons, including his involvement in movements opposing the UK’s Trident nuclear programme on the Clyde; commends his role in fostering dialogue, education and grassroots activism within communities across Scotland and beyond; recognises the inspiration that he provided to generations of activists through his integrity, compassion and steadfast commitment to peace; expresses its condolences to his family, friends and comrades, and affirms its appreciation of his enduring contribution to the cause of peace.
