That the Parliament recognises the Scottish Advisory Forum on Europe (SAFE), which is comprised of over 50 organisations and is chaired by Dr Irene Oldfather, on winning an award at the 2025 Empower EU Awards in the Inspiring European Connections category; notes that the award recognises organisations and networks that have made an outstanding contribution to fostering meaningful people-to-people connections between EU and UK nationals, or among EU nationals from different countries, in order to work towards a better society; understands that the advisory forum was established by the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) in May 2023 to provide a structured and independent platform for dialogue between Scotland and Europe following the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union; notes that the network brings together voices from across Scotland’s academic, business and third sectors to explore opportunities for continued collaboration with European partners and to promote Scotland’s collective civil society voice; congratulates SAFE on winning this award, and thanks the organisation for the vital work that it is doing in co-operation with European partners and others.
