As an amendment to motion S6M-04567 in the name of Kevin Stewart (Keeping Care Close to Home and Improving Outcomes), after "at the right time" insert ", but regrets that this is not being achieved for new mothers who require an inpatient perinatal mental health bed with their baby and who are expected to travel to either Glasgow or Livingston, children and young people who need a dedicated mental health inpatient bed where there are none north of Dundee, or mothers in Caithness who are expected to travel up to 100 miles down the A9 to Inverness to give birth, and urges the Scottish Government to resolve these and other similar failures in provision".
