That the Parliament commends the children of Logie Coldstone and Tarland primary schools on planting 135 trees in honour of Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee, representing one tree for every student at the schools; understands that the project was enabled by the MacRobert Trust, in partnership with Cromar Community Council, as part of the Queen’s Green Canopy initiative; recognises what it sees as the importance of initiatives such as these in teaching children about the environment and the active role that they can take in protecting it, and wishes the community enjoyment of the new trees for years to come.
