That the Parliament recognises what it sees as the important role played by housing associations in providing safe and secure homes, supporting the development and sustainability of communities, and valuing both their tenants and their workforce; understands that Link Group Ltd, the parent company of four registered social landlords and seven operating subsidiary companies known as “partners”, achieved a surplus in the financial year 2020-21 of £1.44 million, a reported increase of £1 million from the previous year; regrets the reported imposition of a settlement during pay negotiations with the recognised trade union, Unite the Union, and calls on the board of directors and management of Link Group Ltd to engage constructively with the union and deliver a fair pay award that recognises the critical role that its workforce plays in its activities.
