To ask the Scottish Government, in light of it being listed as the current site owner on its Scottish Vacant and Derelict Land Survey – site register publication, what plans it has to develop the site of the former Braehead Brickworks in Bargeddie.

I can confirm that the site of the former Braehead Brickworks is within the operational land of the M8 M73 M74 Motorway Improvements Project and is maintained by the project contractor, Scottish Roads Partnership (SRP).

To ask the Scottish Government, in light of reports of the First Minister finding an old mobile phone with WhatsApp messages on it, whether it is the case that the First Minister had reported a mobile phone as missing, and, if it is the case, what steps were taken to address any potential security issues arising from a phone that had been used for government business being unaccounted for.

To ask the Scottish Government when the First Minister’s Investor Panel will publish its recommendations and what the next steps will be for the Scottish Government.
Answer
The Panel published its recommendations on 29 November 2023. The recommendations cover a wide range of findings on how Scotland can attract capital investment to support the just transition to net zero.
The Scottish Government published its response to the Panel’s recommendations on 29 November 2023. The Scottish Government has setup an Investment Strategy and Delivery Unit as described in the Programme for Government to drive forward the recommendations made by the Panel.
