New University of Aberdeen Rector

That the Parliament congratulates Martina Chukwuma-Ezike, Chief Executive of the Asthma and Allergy Foundation, on her election as the new rector of the University of Aberdeen; notes that Martina was elected following a vote of the students of the University and will serve a three-year term; recognises the importance of the rector in acting as a voice for the student body within the University Court; understands that Martina has outlined a range of areas on which she wishes to pursue improved University policies, including student mental health, housing, and the approach of the University to committing to net zero targets and applying its efforts to addressing the climate crisis, and wishes her all the best for her term as rector.
