  • Submitted by: Alexander Burnett, Aberdeenshire West, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 20 October 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-01720

That the Parliament thanks Mike Ward MBE and Mandy Ward, from Alford, for their services at Grampian Transport Museum; notes that Mike is retiring as curator after almost 40 years at the museum, during which time he has brought the history of transportation to life from exhibitions on time travel to coincide with the resurgence of Doctor Who, complete with real-life Daleks, to collecting as many vehicles involved in the Great Train Robbery as possible in one place; recognises the significant contribution that Mike and Mandy have made to the Grampian Transport Museum and surrounding area, which has helped put Donside on the tourism map, and wishes Mike and Mandy all the best in their retirement.
