  • Submitted by: Sharon Dowey, South Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 13 October 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-01628

That the Parliament congratulates Ayrshire Hospice as its Go Purple fundraising event marks its 10th anniversary; notes that this fundraising event raises money to help deliver exceptional care to those affected by life-limiting illnesses; acknowledges that, over the last nine years, Go Purple has raised over £179,000; notes that money is raised by wearing purple clothing, such as wigs and bow ties; recognises that care is provided where there is no cure for the condition and that this helps people live as actively as they can to improve their quality of life, and wishes those taking part in the fundraiser well as they help raise money to support people and families across Ayrshire.
