SRUC Places First in Young University Rankings 2021

That the Parliament congratulates Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC) on being named the best in Scotland in the 2021 Times Higher Education Young University rankings; understands that the young university rankings list the world’s best universities that are 50 years old or younger, based on criteria such as teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook; acknowledges that SRUC was established in 2012 through the merger of the Scottish Agricultural College (SAC) with Barony, Elmwood and Oatridge colleges, and offers courses from further education to PhD level; commends SRUC for also being recognised as 6th best in the UK and 104th in the world, and wishes it further success in the future.
