That the Parliament notes the 100th anniversary of the Maybole Branch of the Royal British Legion; understands that the Maybole branch was the first branch of the Royal British Legion in the UK when it was established on 28 June 1921; recognises that the Royal British Legion was formed on 15 May 1921, bringing together four national organisations of ex-servicemen that had established themselves to support those who had suffered as a result of service during the First World War; notes the excellent work of the Legion over the past 90 years, as the leading charity providing financial, social and emotional support to those who have served or are currently serving in the British Armed Forces and their dependants; gathers that a wreath laying ceremony will occur in Maybole on Sunday 27 June, and thanks the Royal British Legion for its continued, life-changing work that makes such a difference to so many communities.
