That the Parliament congratulates Dr Heather Currie on being awarded an MBE in The Queen’s Birthday Honours List in recognition of her services to healthcare, in particular, in being the driving force for women’s health and menopause care; recognises her role as associate medical director of Acute, Diagnostics, Women, Children and Sexual Health, her past contribution as clinical lead for the Gynaecology Modernising Patients Pathways Programme for Scotland and clinical advisor for the Scottish Government’s Women’s Health Plan, praises her involvement as trustee and past chair of the British Menopause Society, co-editor of Post Reproductive Health, the journal of the British Menopause Society, while also contributing as the founder and director of Menopause Matters, which runs an award-winning website and magazines to help women across the world; acknowledges her outstanding dedication and commitment to excellence, and wishes her well in her future involvement in helping improve women’s lives.
