Crieff and Strathearn Drovers’ Tryst Walking Festival 2021

  • Submitted by: Jim Fairlie, Perthshire South and Kinross-shire, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Wednesday, 19 May 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-00059

That the Parliament welcomes the return of the Crieff and Strathearn Drovers’ Tryst walking festival, to be held over 29 to 31 May and 17 to 19 July; recognises that the festival, normally an annual event, celebrates the legacy of the people who made Crieff the cattle-droving crossroads of Scotland in the 1700s; congratulates the organisers on putting together a programme that once again offers a wide choice of guided walks at different levels of difficulty; recognises the work done in ensuring that there will be COVID-19-related adaptations, and wishes all participants a safe and enjoyable Tryst.
