  • Submitted by: Craig Hoy, South Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 15 August 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-14109

That the Parliament recognises what it sees as the positive impact on local communities from the latest Asda Foundation grants, which come from the Asda Foundation, a charitable company that provides grants to a range of good causes; understands that, in the South Scotland region, grants totalled £14,250; notes in particularly the five recipients from the Dunbar store and the two from the Galashiels store; appreciates what it sees as the impact that the grants will have on local organisations to be able to continue to operate, and recognises the good work that local organisations do for communities.
