North East Sensory Services Nominated as a Finalist at the SCVO Scottish Charity Awards

That the Parliament congratulates North East Sensory Services (NESS) on being nominated as a finalist at the Scottish Charity Awards 2023; notes that the charity supports blind and deaf people across the north east; understands that NESS has been shortlisted in the Digital Citizen category for its work in providing accessible IT and digital training, and support to people with sight and/or hearing loss; further understands that the work by ICT officers at NESS is designed to reduce isolation and increase digital inclusion for those with sensory loss; recognises the hard work of the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO) in organising the annual award ceremony to highlight the fantastic work of Scottish charities; praises the important work of NESS in providing what it sees as these vital services to disabled people in the north east, and wishes all NESS staff, volunteers and service users all the best for the future.
