Fife Teenager, Abbie Fairlough, Wins Martial Arts Gold for Scotland

That the Parliament congratulates talented West Fife teenager, Abbie Fairclough, on winning three separate titles at the World Karate and Kickboxing Association World Championships held in Wales; understands that Abbie represented Scotland in the female 15 to 17 years of age category, in the light contact 60.1-65kg discipline, the over-65.1kg category and the 60.1-65kg light points event, and earned a gold medal in each event; notes that the former Dunfermline High School pupil was competing in what will be her final year as a junior before moving on to senior competition; understands that Miss Fairclough was a former member of High Calibre Martial Arts, based at Dunfermline East Church in Nightingale Place, and now trains with other internationally successful competitors at Wolfpack Martial Arts in Livingston, and wishes her future success as her career progresses.
