Troon Welbeck Ladies Golf Club Raises Funds for Ayrshire Hospice

That the Parliament applauds Troon Welbeck Ladies Golf Club in raising £5,000 for Ayrshire Hospice; understands that the money raised has been collected over the last year through weekly competitions and events, and was the chosen charity by the team’s captain, Lady Captain Margaret McConnell; notes that the money was accepted by Ayrshire hospice senior fundraiser, Claire Stuart-Paulin, in December 2022 at an event held at the Troon Welbeck Clubhouse; understands that the Troon Welbeck Ladies hosted a range of events, which saw it welcome 144 ladies to its August event and also run its first ever Ladies Get into Golf Programme, supported by South Ayrshire Golf; further understands that following the success of these events, a number of ladies have since joined as full members; acknowledges that the club celebrated its 40th anniversary in September 2022, and wishes the club all the best and continued success as it looks forward to the start of the new golfing season.
