  • Motion reference: S6M-07103

That the Parliament commends the work of the I Love Clarkston Business Improvement District for organising a KidsOut Toy Drive to help provide gifts for disadvantaged children at Christmas; understands that the gifts collected will be donated to children in the Greater Glasgow region who have been impacted by issues including cost of living challenges, domestic violence and who are living in refuge; notes the Toy Drive event was held on 3 December 2022 at the Clarkston Halls Car Park and thanks everyone who took the time to selflessly contribute Christmas presents for disadvantaged young people; understands that KidsOut is an organisation operating throughout the UK who provide support for vulnerable children, and acknowledges both the efforts of the organisation and I Clarkston Love to ensure that vulnerable young people are able to have a happy Christmas.
