That the Parliament notes with concern the news reports that Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home may be forced to close; considers that this is a result of its energy bills rising by 800%, and notes the impact it believes that the current fuel prices and cost of living crisis have had on charities; recognises the huge impact it considers that the organisation has had in Edinburgh for 140 years, including currently feeding 3,000 animals, and calls upon the Scottish Government to work in partnership with the City of Edinburgh Council in order to ensure the future of what it sees as this vital Edinburgh institution.
